A home passed down from generation to generation
Le Brossay is above all a family home. For more than a century, generations have followed one another here, building their memories.
In 2011, the château was vandalised: windows and mirrors smashed, furniture thrown from the windows. It was then left abandoned, until the great-great-granddaughter of Colonel Maurice du Halgouët bought it back from her brothers in 2018.
From 2018 to 2020, Corentine du Halgouët, together with her husband and their four children, undertook a vast renovation project so that the château could host receptions and support an economic activity.
Today, the company Le Brossay manages the estate and employs the staff who maintain it.
Since 2019, the château has welcomed groups of friends for birthdays, film shoots and photo shoots, as well as families for weddings and wedding anniversaries. By appointment, it is also possible to visit.
Corentine du Halgouët, her husband and their children continue this family story, determined to preserve this exceptional heritage while sharing it. Every stone, every tree and every building bears witness to this living transmission. The outbuildings — stables, farmyard, garden — are currently being restored.
